Custom 3D Letters School Sign for San Jose High in California
Sign artist John Espinola moved the Centennial letters and dates to surround the existing bulldog mosaic where they are more meaningful on this building facing Julian Street. Since some of the old masonite letters were damaged during this process, he re-created a whole new set in 1/8″ aluminum substrate material.
All of the old letters were removed. The new San Jose High School letters are 15″ high injection molded plastic mounted with 1″ stand offs. The new International Baccalaureate letters are 12″ x 1/4″ acrylic with flat faces. Espinola hand-painted the IB emblem graphics on a plastic “pan” that is 36″ in diameter.
