Custom Dimensional Signs for Lynbrook High in San Jose, California

Image #1

Lynbrook’s mascot is a Viking, but nobody really knows what he looks like. So artist John Espinola created Viking symbols for the two dimensional pieces that face the central quad and are a senior class gift to the school.

This Viking ship is constructed of three layers of 1/8″ aluminum composite material. The 9′ sail is on the bottom, the ship is mounted on top of that and the waves make up the third layer. All pieces are hand painted in oil enamels. Overall Dimension is 7′ x 9′. Thanks to the ASB leaders of the Class of 2013 whose dedication to their legacy led us to create and install their gift in the Summer of 2014.
