Custom Gold Leafed 3D Letters Sign for Nor Cal Autoworks in Campbell, California
This custom double-sided sign is two identical ovals, each of which features dimensional letters hand carved from HDU foam. On top are 1″ letters with aluminum leaf gilding and engine-turning done by hand.
At bottom are 2″ letters with 23Kt gold leaf gilding and engine-turning done by hand. The hand carved and gilded letters are outlined with 1/8″ aluminum composite material painted in oil enamels. The inside pinstriping was painted by hand. The ovals are 3/4″ MDO plywood coated in oil enamels mounted to a 24″ by 8′ board.
