Delta Motors Automotive Custom Letters and Finish in Campbell, California
The owner of this auto repair shop asked sign artist John Espinola for a sign that looks, “a little rusty, like it’s been around awhile.” So Espinola started by making a new sign.
He used 1/8″ aluminum composite material both as substrate and for the letters and graphic elements, and coated everything in oil enamels. He hand-painted the phone number and details on the letters. Then he beat everything up, scuffing it and applying a rusting agent.
