Custom Restaurant Signs for Gator’s Neo Soul Cafe in San Mateo, California
At top: John Espinola cut this double-sided hanging sign from 3/4″ MDO plywood, beveled the edges and coated all sides in oil enamel. He hand painted the gator head, then attached 1/4 in. aluminum and 1/8 in copper letters.
At bottom: Espinola painted the gator head on the outside of the window in oil enamel, then installed letters of cut vinyl and genuine copper leaf medium. All edges were sealed with clear varnish for durability.
