Custom School Award Sign for Canoas Elementary in San Jose, California
Sign artist John Espinola surrounded two panels of 1/2″ MDO plywood with a painted wooden frame for this sign. He painted the sign face to match the building’s color, then mounted 12″, 8″ and 6″ formed plastic letters on it. He gilded two 12″ formed plastic stars in 23Kt. gold leaf and added them.
He made the California Distinguished School sign by covering a 28″ diameter plastic “pan” with colored high performance vinyl graphics.
