Custom School Award Sign for Graystone in San Jose, California
John Espinola used a duranodic bronze-colored emblem and matching letters for the California Distinguished Schools award. He covered the 28″ plastic “pan” with graphics cut from 22Kt. gold leaf film.
In contrast, he made the National Blue Ribbon Schools emblem with the more standard white plastic “pan” covered with colored high performance vinyl graphics. For all 3 accompanying signs, Espinola cut 3/4″ MDO plywood, coated all sides in latex enamels that match the school colors, and mounted 10″ and 8″ and 4″ formed plastic letters to them.
