California Distinguished School Award Signs for Lexington Baccalaureate in Los Gatos
For this graduating class gift to their school, sign artist John Espinola was asked to make an awards sign that would fit with the existing school sign. Espinola chose 3/4″ MDO plywood which he cut to 22″ x 60″ and coated in latex enamel, matching the color of the existing sign as closely as possible.
He hand painted the lettering. He made the two 8″ award emblems of 1/4″ thick aluminum circles, painted white. Espinola airbrushed the International Baccalaureate emblem and applied high performance color vinyl graphics to the California Distinguished School emblem.
