Custom School Exterior Mascot Mural for Burnett Middle School in San Jose, California
Mural artist John Espinola painted the mural and carved the bear head medallion shown in the upper left photo in 2002. When the school was repainted in 2013, the carved bear head medallion came back to Art Works for refurbishing and a new mural design.
The bottom photo shows the result. The BURNETT letters are approx. 57″ high and are 25.5′ long. MIDDLE SCHOOL letters are 19″ high. The medallion is 7.5’x 13’x 1 1/2″ High Density Urethane foam which Espinola repaired and repainted so it will look good for at least another decade or so.
