Custom School Entrance Sign for Pioneer High in San Jose, California
Built in 2002, this sign stood proudly at the school’s entrance until Art Works replaced it with the current aluminum sign in 2016. This sign is a 53″ x 99″ x 1.75″ kiln-dried redwood plank finished in oil enamel. The 12″, 8″ & 4″ letters are cast metal with a satin gold anodized finish.
Art Works carved the mustang mascot in relief and gilded it for extra drama. On the left brick column, they mounted a 12″ x .25″ aluminum disc with baked-on white enamel and the high-performance vinyl graphics he uses for a California Distinguished School emblem.
