Custom Sign for Don Wise’s Auto Works in Campbell, California
Sunlight glints off the brilliant silver outline sign painter John Espinola added around his lettering at the top of this sign and around the dimensional oval in the middle. He cut two 32 x 38 in. faces from 3/4 in. MDO plywood for this double-sided sign, the prepped and hand painted the lettering on them.
The dimensional oval was cut from 1/2″ MDO plywood and installed with visible hardware. A 1/2″ frame trims the sign faces and they are supported by two 4×4 redwood posts. All are primed and coated with oil enamel. Also shown is Espinola’s coordinating window lettering, cut from high-performance vinyl.
