Ocean Sway Stained Glass Panel in Campbell, California

Stained glass artist John Espinola worked with colleague Paul Estrade of Graystone Glass to create this window on spec for a resort in Cabo San Lucas. The two largest circles in this piece are accented with hand engraved and polished puntes.

Additionally, the largest circle was slumped, so it curves slightly off the surface of the glass. Four hand blown rondels provide another interesting accent. Much of the background is of specialty colored glass and some of the pieces have had textured clear glass plated behind them to reinforce the watery illusion.

A 1/4″ aluminum bracing bar curves across the back of the window for added stability. The window was constructed using both lead and copper caming and is surrounded by a 1″ solid oak frame. It is approximately 30″ x 22″.
