Sons of San Jose War Memorial Sandblast in California
Art Works is proud to have contributed to the construction of this monument dedicated on March 30 – National Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day – in 2013. We prepared each of the 3 granite faces shown here for sandblasting.
To do that, we arranged all 142 names and associated dates across the left and right panels and set up the text in the center panel. We cut all the text into masking material, glued the masking material to the granite slabs and then painstakingly removed each individual letter by hand.
