Sociedade Flor Acoriana Church Stained Glass Transom Window in Chowchilla, California
Stained glass artist John Espinola designed this window donated by an uncle and aunt. Measuring 30″ at peak by 72″, it features a dove symbolizing The Holy Spirit surrounded by heavenly rays of specialty, hand-blown glass.
The triple border of purple, beveled and then gold glass is a common element in all 4 of Espinola’s windows here. The donation pane on each window shows hand-painted lettering which was then fired into the glass.
All windows are framed separately and installed behind clear glass windows on 1 in. stand-offs to facilitate removal for cleaning.
