Houston Girl Hand-Painted Boat Name Lettering

Shown here at the 2011 Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance, this is a 1922 racing boat.

Sign painter John Espinola painted her name and racing number on both sides of her hull and fit her name in among the steering hardware on the back transom. He painted in oil-based enamels, white with a thin black outline.
